Oxfam Bookshop Byres Road is thrilled to be part of this year's Byres Road Book Festival, celebrating the vibrant community of readers, writers and storytellers that makes Glasgow's West End such a special place for books.
An Evening with Christopher Brookmyre & Marisa Haetzman will take place on Friday 25 September 2026 at the Oxfam Bookshop on Byres Road in Glasgow.
The event will bring together award-winning author Christopher Brookmyre and co-writer Marisa Haetzman for a discussion spanning three decades of Brookmyre's much-loved Jack Parlabane series, as well as their collaborative work writing historical crime fiction as Ambrose Parry.
The evening will also showcase the talent of Oxfam volunteer Gordon Smart, who will read from his own crime fiction. Gordon's writing has attracted attention for its compelling exploration of a real-life unsolved murder case.
